I don’t think there’s spoilers in the following, just my general thoughts after watching the pilot.

I liked it Liked it a lot, actually I’m feeling pretty positively about the characters – the only one I’m a little “meh” about is Eli who feels like a Gary Stu to me – and more or less out of place. But unless the writers treat him like they did McKay (making him the center of focus) there’s enough other characters to balance it out. I hope the future episodes continue in the same style – measured spacing and concentration on characters instead of explosions. I wasn’t bored at all, and best of all, it didn’t feel rushed like so many SGA episodes

I’ll definitely be capping the whole series assuming it continues as well as the pilot started
